SaSaCode is a chat-first AI coding agent with no per-action approval — you describe what you want and it reads, writes, and runs real files itself. A lightweight Files browser and single-file editor are there when you want to look or make a change yourself. Here's how the pieces fit together.
Before you send a message, SaSaCode needs to know where it's working: your own machine (a local folder) or a remote server over SSH. The assistant will ask for this itself the first time it needs file access — you can also set or switch it any time from the target picker.
For an SSH target, you can connect to any host directly, or reuse a credential you've already saved in the Vault (see below).
Just describe what you want in plain language — "add a login page," "fix the bug where X happens," "read the config and tell me what's in it." SaSaCode proposes and runs the actual file reads/writes/commands itself; there's no approve/reject step to slow it down.
You can attach a screenshot or photo with the paperclip button (it automatically uses a vision-capable model for that turn), or use the microphone button to speak instead of type.
Every write or command is preceded by an automatic git checkpoint in your project's working directory. If a change goes wrong, use the Revert last checkpointed action button in the topbar to undo it — this is the safety mechanism in place of manual approvals.
The + button starts a fresh conversation. Nothing is deleted — your previous conversation is still reachable from the history icon next to it, and clicking one reopens it exactly where you left off.
The template icon lets you start from a real starting point — a plain web project, a Flutter app, or a PHP+MySQL admin tool — instead of an empty folder. Picking one drops a note into the composer so you can add details before SaSaCode reads the template's full guidance.
The folder icon opens a quick look at what's already in your current target's working directory — no AI turn needed just to see what's there.
Click any file (not a folder) in the Files browser to open its real content directly. Edit it, then hit Save & tell SaSaCode — it writes the file for real, with the exact same automatic git checkpoint an AI-made change gets, so Revert still works on your own edits too.
Saving also drops a message into your current chat showing exactly what changed (a diff), and sends it — so SaSaCode is never blind to a manual edit on its next turn, even if you never mention it yourself.
If you're working on something with a URL (a local dev server, or a real site your target can reach), the preview pane can show it right next to the chat, refreshing automatically after each reply. Toggle it on/off, and switch which side it sits on, from the topbar.
If you already have your own OpenAI, Claude, DeepSeek, or Gemini account, you can save that key and use it instead of the plan's included AI — sessions started this way don't count against your monthly usage. Manage this from the key icon in the topbar.
The Vault stores SSH credentials and other secrets (like API keys a project needs) locally on your own machine only, encrypted by Windows — never sent to or stored by SaSaCode's servers. Secrets you save here are made available to commands as environment variables; the AI sees the variable name, never the value itself.
